A favourite of #Munnings’ early models, Shrimp, features in this painting. He is riding the white Welsh mare, that Munnings bought for £20, on the Ringland Hills, west of Norwich. The Swainsthorpe history group hosted a wonderful social event on Saturday at which our Museum Director, Jenny Hand, delivered a talk on #Munnings’ life and work in the village in the early 20th century and how the places that shape us never leave us. Museum Director, Jenny Hand, was delighted to be in Norwich tonight for the opening of the @thenorfolkandnorwichartcircle exhibition at @theforumnorwich in Norwich! A delightful exhibition which showcases the talents and imagination of the NNAC members.
